La Colonia Guell is one of the most beautiful architectural recovery of an industrial complex in the late nineteenth century. It is in Spain about 30 km from Barcelona is only 10 minutes from Gavà Mar. This architectural complex includes the former textile mill, residential area and the crypt of the Church inacomplie of Antoni Gaudi. The package was declared by the English State Website inter ê t history and art.
The original textile mill was owned by the family Guell who built it around the village and church workers. Gaudi was summoned to the Church which unfortunately ended and was limited to the construction of the crypt.
The Crypt surprises for its breathtaking beautée and for its simplicity. It is the prototype of the Sagrada Familia it has all the main features. The Crypt in Colonia Guell is Gaudi's last work before his devotion in the design and construction of the Sagrada Familia.
